BT Cruiser and Conquest by Gulf Stream
Carolina Coach and Marine is a family owned and operated business much like Gulf Stream Coach the company that makes the BT Cruiser and the Conquest Class C motorhomes. The Shea family has owned and operated Gulf Stream Coach since the founding in 1983. Jim Shea Sr., the founder of the company, had a history in manufactured housing and used what he learned there to put new features into Gulf Stream Coach’s travel trailers that had not been seen in trailers before. Jim Shea Sr. eventually brought his sons on board to allow them to learn the business through hands on experience. Since then, Jim has retired and left the company in the capable hands of his son’s and has been inducted into the MH/RV Hall of Fame for his contributions to the RV and manufactured housing industries.
The BT Cruiser is a small Class C motorhome that is designed to be compact enough to allow you to easily explore two-lane roads and city streets in addition to being able to easily park and maneuver it wherever it is necessary. It boasts either the Ford E350 or E450 Chassis with 6.8L Triton V-10 Engine under the hood. This gives it enough power to get you and your family anywhere you want to go safely. The frame of this motorhome is made of a welded aluminum cage, helping to keep it light but strong. Next, is a layer of polyfoam insulation and Azdel substrate to make up the insulation in the walls. This means that your AC or heater will not have to work hard to keep your coach at a comfortable temperature.
Moving on from the construction of the BT Cruiser, the interior offers a comfortable living space with several floor plans to choose from. Most of the floor plans have enough space to sleep up to four people making this motorhome an excellent choice for small families or couples who like to go camping with friends. Some smaller floor plans are missing the typical queen bed opting instead to have Jack Knife Sofas act as the main sleeping areas to help create space for a kitchen and bathroom, that would not be able to fit if there were a living area and a bedroom. The kitchen offers stainless steel appliances as well as a three burner range. This means that you will have everything you need when it’s time to cook a meal in your new motorhome. When it comes to entertainment this coach comes equipped with a TV antenna with an amplifier but, you may not need that because it comes ready for cable TV.
The Conquest Class C motorhome is built with your family in mind. Built with the same standards of construction as the BT Cruiser this coach is sure to get you and your family where you want to go. The Conquest does include some different features from the BT Cruiser the most notable being the vast amount of storage inside and outside of the coach. Some of the units even featuring huge basement spaces to give ample storage for luggage or anything else that you may want to bring along on your next camping trip. On the interior you will find no shortage of storage with Griffith Maple Cabinets being spread through the interior of the coach. These coaches have no issue providing ample space for up to six people to find a place to sleep.
A look at the interior of the Conquest reveals a kitchen with a 3 burner range with oven and a microwave as well as more than enough space to put together a meal for your family. The Conquest also comes with a TV antenna and booster, as well as being ready for Cable TV. These standard features go well with the optional 40” TV that you can have installed in the living area. In the bedroom you can also find TV hookups for a second TV. If you aren't interested in entertainment in the form of television you will be happy to hear that the Conquest comes with a Luxury package that includes fifteen of the most popular options standard. This package includes an Electric Awning with LED lights and speakers as well as an AM/FM/CD Stereo. The luxury package also includes an upgrade to stainless steel appliances and a glass range cover. Other notable options that come in the luxury package are the 13.5K BTU Ducted Roof A/C and the upgraded LED interior and Exterior lighting.
